Everyone enjoys a good time, but this party scene doesn't seem well-aligned with the wholesome atmosphere our Delray officials are trying to foster.

It's particularly concerning that Bounce will be located outside Delray's well-established Entertainment District.

Concerned residents of Delray, Bounce has been making some exaggerated claims and wild promises in trying to secure favors from local elected officials and pacify concerned neighbors.  Well, that's not much a surprise coming from and out-of-state nightclub that's seeking to break the rules before their doors are even open. BOUNCE CONCERNS FROM NEARBY RESIDENTS

  Bounce Sporting Club  is an out of town restaurant/nightclub chain that is planning to open a new club in the new Atlantic Crossing project, at the NE corner of Atlantic Ave and NE 7th Ave - where the current zoning requires restaurants and bars to close by midnight.   The club is seeking a "conditional use" permit to remain open until 2:00 am, seven days per week.  Delray already has a large and well-defined Entertainment District that stretches West on Atlantic Avenue, from the Colony Hotel towards Swinton Avenue where restaurants and bars are allowed to stay open until 2:00 am.  This is the area of downtown where many of our restaurants, bars and clubs - such as Johnny Brown’s, Honey, Throw Social, Tin Roof and others are concentrated.  Bounce is located outside these boundaries.   Neighbors and residents have voiced valid concerns about having a late night club in our backyard.  In addition to noise and late night disturbances, there’s a con...

Bounce Conditional Use application pulled - WE CANNOT LET OUR GUARD DOWN!

Here's the letter from the lawyer representing the Bounce nightclub, requesting the withdrawal of their application for the 2:00am Conditional Use from the Commission meeting agenda on February 1. Their action is attributed to “ the outpouring of community feedback ”.  In other words, the large majority of Delray residents do NOT want Conditional Use for Bounce or any other establishment operating a late night hard-partying club outside the established Entertainment District. Thank you all for your strong support on this critical issue!  Your combined efforts, letter writing and personal grievances have been heard - loud and clear.  We must also recognize those Commissioners who had already indicated that their vote would be influenced by the strong opposition from local residents.
